Color”….Objects of Art premiers at the Orlando Marriott Downtown Art Gallery
in October The Orlando Marriott Downtown Art Gallery presents “Minus Color”…Objects of Art from October 20, 2005 to January 7, 2006 featuring eight local award winning and collected artists. Artists Reception and Opening 6pm - 9pm Thursday, October 20. The “Minus Color” Show is a multi-dimensional exhibition created primarily in black and white and includes photography, painting, mixed-media and sculpture. Featured artists include Homer Hartage, Douglas J. Nesbitt, Julia West, Marla E, Donna Dowless, Rose Marie Prins, Brenda Heim and Frank Gady. The "Minus Color" collection represents a reflection into each artist’s passion for living and experiencing life as it exists around them. This body of work offers a glimpse of these experiences and the desire of the artists to share them with the viewer. The pieces are creations of true emotional expression and personal life experiences. Each piece represents an artistic exploration. All artwork is for sale. The opening night reception continues to be one of the hottest gallery openings in town, with gourmet food and wine from the Marriott’s Master culinary Chef John Clark. The Orlando Marriott Downtown Gallery is dedicated to promoting and selling work by fine artists in the Central Florida area. Since its opening in October 2003, the gallery has featured 48 area artists and has sold over $46,000 of work with 100% of all monies going directly to the artist.
